Pastoral Leader of Excellence Programme
Who is it for?
The Pastoral Leader of Excellence programme is for existing or aspiring pastoral leaders. It is also suitable for all teachers or support staff who want to develop skills in pastoral care to support their current or future role. This course caters to both primary and secondary school staff.
What are the benefits?
This course concentrates on the key skills required to make a positive difference to the wellbeing of students so they can be academically successful.
The sessions will focus on leading change, how to build and develop a team and engage with strategic decision-making strategies. The sessions also include methods of working with people, to ensure students are well supported so they can be an academic success, and to examine successful techniques to manage difficult conversations with parents and teachers.
Dates, Time and Venue:
This course consists of 2 sessions which will take place as follows:
Session 1 – w/c 01/10/18
Session 2 – w/c 19/11/18
All sessions will take place from 4.15pm to 6pm at Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School, Horncastle, LN9 5AD
£60 per session or 2 twilight credits
*Attendees must attend both sessions
